Why the group exists

Men deserve dignity, respect, honest conversation, and a real voice.

Many men are trying to navigate changing expectations, loneliness, relationships, work, family, and public life at the same time. This group offers a place to speak plainly, listen carefully, and build a fuller picture of what men need to thrive.

That work includes accountability. Equality and respect apply to everyone, and conversations about men’s lives do not require blaming women or excusing harm.

    Who belongs

A room for men and the people who care about them.

The group welcomes men at different stages of life, along with women and other conversation partners who want to understand, challenge, and support healthier relationships between people.

    • Men looking for honest conversation without a party line
    • Partners, friends, family, and allies who want to listen
    • People willing to pair candor with responsibility

    What we discuss

    Real questions, handled with care.

The conversation can be direct without becoming demeaning. These themes give the group a shared starting point.

    Relationships and dating

Talk about intimacy, communication, expectations, and the skills that make relationships more honest and mutual.

    Men’s roles and wellbeing

Make space for questions about identity, work, friendship, fatherhood, mental health, and the pressures men carry.

    Fairness and accountability

Examine power and responsibility without turning either men or women into a single story or a political target.

    Men and democracy

Consider how men show up in civic life, how public narratives shape us, and what responsible participation looks like.

    Principles for conversation

Firm about dignity. Open about complexity.

Dignity for every person in the room

    Curiosity before certainty

    Accountability without humiliation

Evidence and lived experience in conversation

    Equality that applies to everyone

    Room for disagreement without contempt

    Start with clarity.

    Can women participate?

    What does “nonpartisan” mean here?

The group does not recruit for a political party, endorse candidates, or require an ideological test. Members can hold different political views and still practice honest, respectful conversation.

Is this group mainly for venting?

People can name what is difficult, but the purpose is larger than venting. Conversations aim toward understanding, responsibility, healthier relationships, and useful civic action.
